Apparently the honey badger in Africa eats venomous snakes. I mean, in Africa they got freakin’ lions and hyenas and whatnot so what’s a little wriggly snake? The badger on this page we can assume is of a more European nature, and therefore a bit more of a wuss.

Funny comic this week – bit like an elephant & a mouse. I have to wonder at the relationship between the rabbit & the badger, the way the badger seems to be fed mushrooms to calm him. Also what it’s intelligence might be? I almost expect it to deliver a line like ‘it’s a living’ ala Flintstones.
Let’s say that one could have a conversation with a badger, but it’ll inevitably be a slow one, with no words beyond two syllables.
Well then, should we assume that fear increase the intelligence of the Badger allowing it to speak full sentences in quick succession? Survival strategy to call for Help perhaps?

I still prefer the Mantis Shrimp to the honey badger, because the mantis shrimp [i]punches through armored plating[/i] for a living. It can punch so hard (while underwater) that each punch gets a second strike from the water re-pressurizing.
I’d still back a honey badger in a fight against your shrimp.

I especially liked the “Why Anthro” pages from a while back; that’s exactly what I like about good anthro stories, and it’s nice to see someone explain it so well.
