Moonstone p21 – Harvest Time
Last page of the Moonstone chapter. And man is cinematic lighting fun š I’ve been teaching studio, green-screen and outdoor lighting to my students the last few weeks, and all the research is rubbing off. If anybody is into lighting, this book is fantastic: ‘Painting with Light’ by John Alton. It’s uber-retro, having been published in 1949 and dealing mostly with classic Hollywood studio lighting, but is a great read (especially the bits on how to make ‘ugly’ people look glamorous – the non-pc directness is pretty funny)
